Door zijn werk als fotograaf en reisschrijver voor reismagazines, kranten, reisboeken en ontwikkelingsorganisaties komt Tom van der Leij op de meest uiteenlopende plekken op aarde. Van het binnenland van Madagaskar en de oerwouden van Nieuw-Guinea, Colombia en Gabon tot aan de Sahel van Niger en Libië en de gletsjers van Noorwegen en Chili.

Due to his work as a photographer and traveleditor for newspapers, travelmagazines, travelbooks and for NGO’s, Tom van der Leij visits the most diverse places on earth. From the tropical rainforest of New Guinea, Colombia and Gabon, to the inlands of Madagascar or to the desert of Niger and Libya and the glaciers of Norway and Chili.
